Career

From journalism to the stage

It all started with writing. As a schoolboy, Christian Dietz, born in 1981, was already writing for the local newspaper Main-Echo. During his civilian service in Berchtesgaden National Park he guided groups of visitors through nature and helped with press work. Useful preparation for the speaker’s stage, even if mountains and golden eagles were still playing the lead roles back then.

This was followed by a degree in technical journalism at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences in Sankt Augustin, a qualification in public relations and an MBA in Communication & Leadership from Quadriga University in Berlin. Preparing complex topics so that people enjoy listening has been the common thread of his career ever since. He doesn’t fit into a single pigeonhole. For neuromarketing, one would be a bit tight anyway.

More than 20 years of neuromarketing in agency life

His advertising and digital agency NEUBLCK has been in business for more than 20 years. With a team of around 20, the agency owner works for medium-sized companies, public institutions and clients from many B2B and B2C sectors. The focus: neuromarketing, meaning campaigns and concepts that get through to the brain and show up in sales. He passes this knowledge on in talks, seminars and workshops, and regularly runs the neuromarketing seminar at OMT.

He is also co-founder of several start-ups and sits on the advisory board of the company builder LABS.ruhr. For many years he was active in Round Table Düren and was responsible for ECHO, the nationwide members’ magazine. Today he is active in Old Tablers Germany and Rotary International.
